They’re baaaaaaaack! After months of relative peaceful coexistence, the feral skunks which usually roam the outskirts of the city have returned to Sacramento to feast on our scraps before fornicating to perpetuate their numbers. Last summer, if you recall, several rabid skunks chased away shoppers who were returning to their cars at the Downtown Plaza parking garage.
According to a report on Fox 40, Miller Park at the city’s riverfront and the intersection of Fair Oaks and Watt are two of the hottest spots in Sacramento for skunk activity. Mating season has just begun and will not cease for at least three more months. Residents are being warned to not leave pet food outdoors unless they want to be sprayed in the face with skunk funk.
